Team Building and Finding my Favorite Star

The last few days have been quite eventful. Friday was my team building session with some of my fellow students. We went to an outdoor recreation area on the University campus and played some games. We also had the opportunity to go up on some exhilarating yet terrifying obstacles. As everyone knows I am not one for heights, I was mentally freaking out just looking at these activities. Of course they all required me to be high off the ground. I decided I would take a leap of faith and try one of the activities. The workers strapped me into a harness and pulled me up to the top. They shouted release and I pulled. Off I went, swinging as high as the pirate ship ride at Playland. I was terrified and I kept my eyes closed for the beginning part. In the end I was glad I tried it but I don’t think I will do it again. I have attached a video of this so you can get a better idea of what I am talking about.

On Saturday, I spent the day with my parents and Amanda. We went to LA as Amanda and I have never been. We walked along Hollywood boulevard and we found our favourite stars on along the way. ( see pictures below) We also went on a Hollywood Stars tour. Our tour guide was really nice and she was always making fun jokes on the tour. After that we looked around in some of the stores. It was a great day and the sun was shining! When I got back to my housing complex, I chilled with my friends and we played cards until 2am. It was great chatting and have some fun competition.

Sunday was a chill day for me. My friends and I took the bus to the mall. Some of them needed to buy clothing for our Site visit on Wednesday. It was nice to walk around and do whatever. But of course our bus ride back was crazy. I thought we had a lot of strange people that ride our buses in Vancouver, but that is nothing compared to the people in Riverside. Luckily there were 7 of us and no one really bugged us at all.

The next few days should be interesting. Its 4^th of July today so we will all be heading to a BBQ soon. Should be a fun evening.
